After 18 months of operation, Birkenhead Point will close its free shopping nanny service on Saturday February 29, 2020.

The service was initially set up as a six-month project and then extended for a further six-months in a vacant tenancy.  Unfortunately, it is not, and was never planned to be, a viable long-term service.  The contract between Birkenhead Point and Lullaby Nannies has expired and unfortunately both parties are unable to renew at this point in time.

Accommodating parents and children while shopping at Birkenhead Point remains a key priority, the Centre is pleased to launch the newly created “Kids Corner”, a fun and interactive area for kids that will be themed according to seasonal campaigns and calendar events. Bookings are not required; however, parent’s supervision is required at all times.

The Kids Corner is now fully operational, having commenced in conjunction with Birkenhead Point’s Lunar New Year celebrations and will soon transform into a beautiful Mother’s Day theme. Other play areas in the Centre include the Pirate Ship (outside Sandler) and the Climbing Cube (next to Muffin Break), both areas are free to use and require parent supervision.

Birkenhead Point will occupy the vacant tenancy with a new retailer, as a part of the ground floor upgrade.
