A new seamless parking experience has arrived at Birkenhead Point!

We want to make your time at Birkenhead Point as relaxed and enjoyable as possible! That's why we've created our new Book N' Park system to ensure a seamless experience from start to finish, when shopping in centre. 

So how does Book N' Park work?

Using our Book N' Park system is super easy! Simply book your car spot in advance via the website to secure your parking ahead of time. Our ticketless parking system will use License Plate Recognition technology to allow your vehicle entry into our designated Book N' Park parking area. Simply find any available space and get shopping straight away ... it's that simple!

By booking a spot (minimum 3 hours for $10), you'll guarantee yourself a stress free entry to our centre, parking in a super convenient location!

FAQs:

What happens once I'm finished shopping?

 Upon exiting the car park, ensure you are under your booking time and the boom gate will automatically register your number plate and open. If you have exceeded the booking time, the normal casual half-hourly rates will apply and be charged at the exit gate. You will be able to pay at the boom gate using a Visa/Mastercard or Amex credit or debit card.

For example, if your booking is from 12:00pm-3:00pm and you have stayed until 3:45pm, you will be charged an additional $8 at the exit gate based on the below rates:

30min -1.0hr    -   $8.00
1.0hr - 1.5hr     -   $10.00
1.5hr - 2.0hr     -   $12.00
2.0hr - 2.5hr     -   $15.00
2.5hr - 3.0hr     -   $20.00

How do I cancel my Book N' Park booking?

To cancel your booking, please contact Point Parking via 1300 551 131 or email at bhpbooknpark@pointparking.com.au with your full name and booking ID stated. Cancellations or any changes regarding arrival time must be made at least 24 hours before the confirmed arrival time. 

 

What happens if I do not show up to my booking and have not canceled 24 hours prior? 

This in non-refundable should you fail to show up for your booking.  

 

Are there any disability spots? 

Yes, there are 6 Mobility parking bays. Mobility permit holders do not need to pay the Book N' Park fees. Simply pre register for a mobility spot by presenting your permit to staff at Guest Services on Level 2. Mobility permit holders are entitled to free all day parking. 

 

How do I modify my contact details or vehicle registration? 

To modify your name and/or vehicle registration details to your booking, please contact Point Parking via 1300 551 131 or email at bhpbooknpark@pointparking.com.au with your full name and booking ID stated. 

 

Do I need to book parking online? 

You are welcome to just drive in and park in the general car park. Standard parking rates will apply. The advantage of booking via Book N Park is that you can secure your parking ahead of time, making your entry and exit of Birkenhead Point stress free and simple. 

 

How do I enter the car park with my online booking? 

There is a licence recognition camera at the entry of the Book N Park entry which will identify your vehicle registration and match it to your booking. The boom gate will then open which allows you to park in any spot within the reserved area. 

 

How far in advance can I book a spot using Book N park? 

You can book a spot at least 1 hour prior to entering, subject to availability. 

 

What happens if I am running late? 

A parking bay for your booking will remain reserved for the entire booking period. However, if you are running late, the booking remains as per the entry and exit times specified in your booking. 

 

What if I have arrived earlier and ahead of my booking time? 

You may enter up to an hour early from the time the booking was meant to start.

 

What happens if I need to leave ahead of the 3-hour period? 

There will be no refund or reimbursement of fees for any unused duration if you choose to exit the car park early. 

 

If I need to leave the car park and re-enter, am I able to do so? 

Once you exit the car park from the dedicated Book N Park area, your booking is closed out. With that said, you are able to re-enter into the general car park on the same day. 

 

If you re-enter immediately after exiting, this will accumulate to your total length of stay. 

Parking will only reset if you have exited the carpark for longer than an hour.

 

What happens if I stay longer than my booking?

If I stay past my booked time, do I need to let anyone know or change my booking on the website?

No you don’t have to inform anyone. You can overstay but the normal casual rates beyond three hours will apply and payment will be requested at the exit gate.
